Imperator

The first thing to note is the taste of “Imperator” (Dian Hong). It is unlike other black or dark teas. Sometimes it is compared to Indian Darjeelings and Assams, but unlike them, it does not have the same astringency. The taste is richer, softer, with barely noticeable hints of sweetness. The aroma of the dark tea includes dried fruits and smoky notes, characteristic of many Yunnan teas. The infusion color is golden-brown, clear, and very rich. Be sure to buy and try Imperator (Dian Hong) at least once!
